Mt Seymour Ski Area is located in the Mt Seymour Provincial Park in North Vancouver. It opened for downhill recreation in 1938.

The ski area is located on the east end of the North Shore Mountains, which rise from the Burrard Inlet of British Columbia. When the skies are clear, views from Mt Seymour are stunning. You can see eastward to the Fraser Valley, south to the lower mainland including the city of Vancouver and as far away as the Gulf Islands.

Mt Seymour Ski Area is truly a multi-recreational area where family and friends can escape the city and venture into the mountains; located only 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver; Mt Seymour is like having a winter playground in your backyard.

On the Slopes

  • Mt Seymour Ski Area provides a backdrop to suit all levels of skier and snowboarding ability. From the beginner terrain, a wide-open area to practice your new skills, to the more advanced challenge of the black diamond runs.
  • Mt Seymour Ski Area hosts night skiing and snowboarding on 100 acres of mountain terrain, which covers 12 trails. On a clear night, you’ll feel on top of the world as you view the lights of the lower mainland twinkling below.
  • Mt Seymour Ski Area provides four Terrain Parks where you’ll find jibs, rails and jumps to challenge every level of park enthusiast. The Young Guns is a place where novice skiers or snowboarders can introduce themselves to the adventures of park riding. The advanced parks include the Mushroom, the Pit and finally the Northlands Terrain Park.
  • Mt Seymour Ski Area has several ski and snowboard programs designed to meet the needs of all ages and skill levels. Programs include Bear Cubs, Mountain Riders, City Lights and Discover lessons.

Off the Slopes

  • Mt Seymour is a multi-faceted recreational area that features many off slope activities, ranging from guided and unguided snowshoeing on a 10km/6mi of maintained trails to Nordic skiing for those whose want a pure winter workout.
  • There is the 4-lane SnowTube Park and 8 lane tobogganing area at the Enquist Lodge. Note: there is an assigned time limit for each visit to allow everyone to get the thrill of sliding down the hill.
  • Looking for a quick snack, try the Grill Works Cafeteria for pizza and burger fare. Also, The Rock Chute Inn is a fully licensed family restaurant for your enjoyment. How about a place to get warm and enjoy your snack from home, check out the Whiskey Jack Room, found in the Three Peaks Lodge.
  • There are no accommodations on Mt Seymour, but you can find a vast collection of hotels, motels or B&B’s close by in North Vancouver or downtown Vancouver.
  • There is a shuttle service available, use the helpful links found below to answer your questions about pickup, drop-off locations and cost.
  • Please note: as you venture up or down the mountain road during the winter months, use caution and be prepared as mountain and driving conditions can change very quickly, so be prepared.
