Mt Baldy Ski Lifts can be found in the San Gabriel Mountain Range of California. Mt Baldy Resort opened to the Southern California public as a winter playground in 1952 and has been delivering an authentic mountain experience ever since.

The Mt Baldy Road serves as the only access into the ski area and is approximately a 30-minute drive from the base of the mountain range. As you make you way up the mountain, you will pass through several small mountain communities and after a few twists and turns you will arrive at the parking lot where a small base lodge is located.

Access to the main area of the mountain is via Chair 1, which will bring you to the main day lodge where your day of skiing and snowboarding begins. Just a note, depending on the snow levels on the day of your visit you should be prepared to download on Chair 1 to return to the parking lot.

On the Slopes

• Mt Baldy Resort has the terrain to satisfy every skier and snowboarder from the novice terrain of Snowball Point and Fireroad to the most advanced terrain of Nightmare and Morgan’s Grove.
• Mt Baldy Resort is home to one terrain park area and has several rails, boxes and other features to entertain you throughout the day.
• Mt Baldy Resort offers a family friendly environment with various snow school programs for all members of the family.
• On a clear day, the views from the top of Chair 3 and 4 are spectacular. Remember, to pack a camera to capture the perfect photo.
• When you are in need of that well-deserved break from the slopes, you’ll find the Top of the Notch Restaurant at the top of Chair 1. Here you’ll find a great selection of cuisine to suit all tastes.

Off the Slopes

• Looking for an alternate activity to skiing or boarding, check out the tubing area. It offers 4 sessions throughout the day, beginning at 8:30am until closing at 4:00pm. Each session is 1.5 hours in duration. Note: children under 36 in/90cm in height are not permitted to use this facility. Also, the status of the tubing area is determined by weather conditions.
• The Rental shop can help you find the correct equipment to make sure your day on the slopes is a pleasant experience. Also found in the rental shop is a retail section with gloves, goggles, hats, clothing and souvenirs to remember your experience at Mt Baldy.
