The Ski Resort is family-friendly and located north of Montreal in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec. The ski resort is not to be confused with the City of Mont Tremblant that is located 13km/8mi from the mountain.
The Ski Resort was the idea of Joseph Ryan, a Philadelphia explorer who was visiting the region. After standing at the summit, he had the idea that this would make a great location for a ski area and on Feb 12, 1939, Mont Tremblant Ski Resort opened for business with a few runs. Feb 12, 2014 marked the 75thanniversary for the resort.
Mont Tremblant Ski Resort is made up of four distinct areas, each possessing its own charm and character. South Side has the closeness to the village, North Side with varied terrain, Versant Soleil, and The Edge for glades.
