The ski resort is located in the Purcell Mountains of British Columbia, near the city of Kimberley. The resort has grown from its early days in the 1940’s with a few trails and a T-Bar on the front face of the mountain to a four-season resort. Today, Kimberley Alpine Resort provides skiing and snowboarding on four separate mountain areas, Northstar, Tamarack Ridge, Vimy Ridge, and Black Rock with a full mountain village at the base.

The mountain faces east and has spectacular views of the Rockies and the surrounding area. Kimberley Alpine Resort is also a stop on the well known Powder Highway Powder Highway of British Columbia, which is a collection of 8 Ski Resorts, 9 Nordic Centres, 9 Heli-Skiing operations and 10 Snowcat skiing and snowboarding operations.

Nearby, and a compliment to the resort, is the city of Kimberley with its Bavarian theme, friendly people, and tourism. Kimberley Alpine Resort is recognized for its warm and family-friendly environment, perfect Purcell powder and its abundance of sunny days. This is one the can’t miss stops along the Powder Highway.
