Buttermilk Ski Area is located near the city of Aspen, Colorado. Buttermilk Ski Area opened for operation in 1958 and has always been considered an area for skiers or snowboarders new to the sport and also a great place for families to truly enjoy their slope time together.

The mountain has terrain that will entertain those of novice ability and appeal to those of more advanced skill who may want to enjoy a leisure day on the slopes.

Today, Aspen Snowmass, as it is known throughout the resort industry, operates four mountains in total, which are all located adjacent to each other. They are not interconnected but easily accessible by the local transit system.

On the Slopes

  • Buttermilk Ski Area is known for its wide-open terrain and gently rolling trails, which are situated on 470 acres.
