The ski area is located in the Payette National Forest of central Idaho. The resort is located 10mi/16km northwest of the resort town of McCall, Idaho. The ski area was the vision of a few businessmen who saw the need for larger alpine recreation in the area. After several years of planning, finally on November 27, 1961, Brundage Mountain Ski Resort opened for business with a double Chairlift, T-bar and a Rope Tow.

The ski and snowboard area has grown from modest beginnings with just two runs to a facility that now claims the trademarked name, “Best Snow in Idaho”. The ski area offers a diverse assortment of terrain suitable for everyone to enjoy.

When looking at the trail map, you’ll discover the mountain has a well-defined layout starting at the front-side all the way to the back-side of Lakeside Bowl, providing a great experience everyone from beginners to the most advanced skier or snowboarder. There are no on mountain accommodations; however, only a short distance away you will discover the resort town of McCall, Idaho.

On the Slopes

  • The trails of Mainstreet and 45 Parallel offer awesome intermediate fall line terrain, which provides a sense of freedom, all the way from the summit to the base. These trails also offer up great opportunities to explore additional trails along the way.
  • Looking for that added challenge, then make you way to the double black diamond terrain of the Northwest Passage and get ready for a great thrill. Also, on the front-side make sure you experience Meadow Bowl and on the backside, Lakeside Bowl, which offer a great view on a clear day.
  • Brundage Mountain is home to two terrain parks that will satisfy all ability levels. Please note that a valid lift ticket or season pass is required for entry. The Bear Progression Park is a great place for the newcomer or for those just trying to improve their skills. Kickback Rail Park is a more advanced park, offering boxes and rails to challenge your skills.
  • Brundage Mountain is committed to providing a truly awesome family experience, both on and off the slopes. Children’s snow school lessons are available to introduce the little ones into the sport or to build on a foundation of prior experience.

Off the Slopes

  • In search of an activity away from the slopes, check out the Activity Barn where you will discover a 4 lane Snow Tubing Facility. Tubing is available on Friday and Saturday evenings until 9pm. A season’s pass is available for the frequent visitor.
  • If you have children that are not quite ready to enjoy the slopes, not to worry, a fully certified daycare facility is available for ages 6 weeks to 6 years and filled with activities to keep the young ones busy.
  • Looking for a different snow sports experience, then check out the backcountry snow cat guides tours with Brundage Snow Cat Adventures in the Payette National Forest where 17,000 acres of terrain are reserved just for you.
  • Need a break from the slopes and a chance to re-fuel, well there is no shortage of places to eat. Check out Smoky’s Bar and Grill, Side Stash Café and the Mainstreet Market Eatery and at mid-mountain enjoy The Bear’s Den.
  • McCall, Idaho is filled with accommodations, dining options of all fares, shopping, as well as, areas to just stroll along and discover the beauty of the area.
