There are small local ski areas with some offering night skiing to one of the most popular ski resorts on the planet, Whistler Blackcomb, which is also the largest ski resort in North America at 8171 skiable acres. Then there is Revelstoke Mountain Resort that has the largest vertical drop of any ski resort in North America at 5620ft/1713m, and Sun Peaks Resort near Kamloops, BC, which is the 2nd largest ski resort in Canada with 4270 acres of skiable terrain.
