On the Slopes

  • Kimberley Alpine Resort has a very distinct layout. Each section presents a different level of challenge with the Black Forest tailored toward the advanced skier or snowboarder.
  • If this is your first visit to Kimberley Alpine Resort and would like some help getting to know and enjoy some of the fun terrain offered at the mountain, check out the “free” mountain tour leaving daily at 10:30am from the Rental Shop. The only requirement is that you show up ready for some fun.
  • New to skiing or snowboarding and require a lesson or just looking to improve your technique with a few pointers, the Telus Winter Sports School has many programs and lessons available. There are Learn-2-ski lessons for children, adults, specialty clinics and private lessons, as well as, family lessons.
  • Looking for some terrain park action? Don’t miss out on Kimberley’s signature RCR Rail Park. Remember to respect the code and know your ability limit.

Off the Slopes

  • For parents who are travelling with their children and would like to spend some adult time on the slopes, visit the Children’s Day Care facility where great staff will take care of children ranging in age from 18 months to 6 years. Lessons and meals can be arranged to ensure your children also have a wonderful experience. Reservations are recommended.
  • Interested exploring the mountain in a way other than skiing and snowboarding? How about snowshoeing? There are two different tour options, Mountain Descent and the Kootenay Fondue. The Northstar Express chairlift will lift you to the summit where both tours originate. Call for more information at 250-427-4881.
  • The choice of accommodation when visiting Kimberley Alpine Resort is almost endless. You can choose from the many great mountainside options, or you can select a place in the City of Kimberley with its charming Bavarian theme and wonderful options for cultural events, dining and shopping.
