Copper Mountain Resort is located in Summit County, Colorado adjacent to US Interstate 70. From its inception in 1972 as a day ski area, it has grown to become one of Colorado’s premier year-round destination resorts. Copper Mountain is known for it naturally divided terrain which separates skiers and riders through 3 distinct mountain areas that start out with gentle, sloping runs on the west, and get progressively steeper as you head east. Copper Mountain Resort villages are family-friendly and come alive with festivals and events throughout the winter to add to your experience.

On the Slopes

  • Copper Mountain averages 305in/774cm of snow annually and typically enjoys most of its snow in March. It has over 142 trails, 23 lifts and 2490 acres of skiable terrain that offers something for everyone.
  • Copper is home to 4 bowls - Copper, Spaulding, Union, and Resolution. All the bowls offer excellent challenges for all ability levels. If you are looking for adventure, check out Copper Bowl with its long runs and wide-open terrain it is sure to be a crowd pleaser and when it snows be prepared for powder and more powder.
  • The gentle terrain of the west side of Copper provides a great learning environment for skiers and riders that are new to the sport. For advance skiers, be sure to take in the beautiful fall line of Andy’s Encore, Oh No and Rosi’s Run, which are easily accessible from Super Bee Chairlift.
  • Copper Mountain offers free Snow cat rides to the legendary Tucker Mountain where you will enjoy a backcountry experience within the boundaries of the resort. Check for operating times.

Off the Slopes

  • Copper Mountain has 3 base area villages, East Village with Copper Station, The Village at Copper (Center Village) and the West Village. All of which host a good selection of accommodation, dining and shopping options, but Centre Village is where you find the most action.
  • Copper offers an on Resort Shuttle Service for transport between the base area villages. Check for operating times. There is also a FreeRide electric car service that offers rides between the inner parking lots and the Center Village.
  • If you are looking for a change of pace, Copper has a good selection of non-mountain activities including; ice skating, cross-country skiing, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, and much more. There’s also Woodward at Copper which is a year round snowboard and ski training camp dedicated to park and pipe progression.
